Fairy Festival 2013: Fairy House Contestants

September 5, 2013 by Stephanie 9 Comments

Last weekend we went to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, which happened to be the “Fairy Festival” weekend. It was a fantastic weekend to go because our daughter LOVES fairies and in addition to the 10+ fairies that were circulating around the grounds, they also had a fairy house building contest. I did not expect the houses to be as elaborate as they were! I decided to snap a few pictures to show you all how incredible and detailed these houses were. I took the pics on my phone, so they are not the best quality photos, but they are still worth looking at! The images below are small, but if you click on a photo, a larger image will appear so you can see more detail.

This is the fairy realm where you could go watch the fairies play music with bells and dance. They also had some animals to pet.

This is my daughter meeting Twig the Fairy. She is the highlight of the Ren Fest for many children. If you aren't familiar with her, google search her name and you will quickly become fascinated as my daughter is here.

Twig is truly magical. She doesn’t talk, but plays this two barreled flute. My daughter was completely mesmerized by her.

Wow, those are amazing! My girls and I have built fairy houses in the flower beds but nothing like that.
